ZDF in Germany has commissioned a new local version of Red Arrow Studios International‘s inspiring format Don’t Stop the Music.

This uplifting and heart-warming format is a social experiment and important social impact campaign all rolled into one.

Don’t Stop the Music Germany will be presented by Bülent Ceylan, and is currently in production at the Efeuweg Community School in Berlin. The school previously lacked the resources and teachers for musical support but the format will give around 50 pupils the opportunity to learn a musical instrument for ten months, as they prepare for a big final concert.

The four episode series will air on ZDF in Easter 2022, with an additional eight episodes airing on ZDF’s children’s channel KiKA.

In the original version for ABC, Australian Idol winner Guy Sebastian and music educator Dr. Anita Collins took kids from Perth on the musical journey of a lifetime.

The original format was developed by Fresh One Productions Limited, and produced by Artemis Media for ABC Australia. It is produced by Redseven Entertainment, Tina Wagner and Anna-Lena Zwez produce. The editorial staff on ZDF are Thorsten Haas, Damaris Sánchez-Parellada and Livia Reidt, the editorial staff for KiKA are Dorothee Herrmann and Katharina Galle.
