Rainer Beaujean is Chairman of the Executive Board & CFO of ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE, and a member of the advisory board of Red Arrow Studios.
Rainer has been the Chief Financial Officer of ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE since July 1, 2019, and additionally assumed the role of Chairman of the Executive Board in March 26, 2020.
Rainer has over 20 years of experience as CFO of listed companies.
Since March 31, 2020, Rainer has also been member of the Supervisory Board of RBVG (Rheinisch-Bergische Verlagsgesellschaft mbH) in Düsseldorf and simultaneously member of the Supervisory Board of its subsidiary RPG (Rheinische Post Verlagsgesellschaft mbH).
Rainer joined ProSiebenSat.1, from the listed packaging manufacturer Gerresheimer AG, where he was Chief Financial Officer from 2012. Over seven years, he was responsible for a number of important , transformative M&A deals such as Sensile Medical and Centor, and was also Speaker of the Board of Management of the packaging specialist for seven months in 2018.
Previously, Rainer was Managing Director and CFO of the Elster Group, the world’s largest manufacturer of measurement and control technology, and CFO of crane manufacturer Demag Cranes. During this time, he led Demag Cranes from the SDax to the MDax and was responsible for refinancing the company.
As CEO, Rainer led the Internet provider T-Online from 2004 until its merger with Deutsche Telekom in 2006. Previously, in his function as CFO, he had already headed the company’s finance department since 2000. In particular, he pushed ahead with the internationalization of T-Online, which at the time was the largest TecDax stock with a market capitalization of around EUR 10 billion.
Rainer began his career in 1995 at Deutsche Telekom, where he held positions such as head of board member support for finance and controlling as well as head of controlling for all international subsidiaries. He studied at Saarland University and graduated with a degree in business administration (Diplom-Kaufmann).
