James joined Studio71 in June 2017 to lead the business as it pivots away from a digital ad-supported network to an IP and talent based production operation. Key to this strategy has been growing the talent management business in order to form creative and output partnerships with some of the fastest growing social talent in the UK. Investments in production and development have positioned Studio71 UK well to exploit the fast growing SVOD, broadcast and digital short form market, supported by fast growing business development in branded content, live, publishing, podcasting and live revenue streams to take full advantage of the value created by digital IP creation.

Prior to joining Studio71, James was Senior Vice President of Europe for RTL’s StyleHaul where he launched the multi-platform network’s international operations in 2013, helping it grow to the largest producer of social and branded content outside of the US.

James has also held senior positions at Google, as Head of Branded Content EMEA for YouTube and at ITV. He studied at Australia’s Bond University Business School.
