CPL Productions has been commissioned by Sky in the UK to produce a second season of comedy series Rob & Romesh Vs…

In the show, comedians and best friends Rob Beckett and Romesh Ranganathan are back on the road again on an hilarious journey of discovery as their love-hate relationship is pushed to its limit.

The new four-part series, starting on Tuesday, May 5 on Sky One and NOW TV, sees Rob and Romesh slam dunk, field and pirouette their way into three worlds they know absolutely nothing about: basketball, cricket and ballet! They will be learning to shoot hoops in downtown LA, they’ll perform in a real production of Swan Lake as part of the Birmingham Royal Ballet and they will join the England Cricket team on their first real test since becoming world champions as they tour South Africa.

Romesh Ranganathan says: “If you’re keen to see two men set fire to their own dignity for the sake of a Sky One show, you’re going to absolutely love this series”, and Rob Beckett says: ‘In this series Romesh gets a colonic irrigation and a whole button mushroom is released. There’s nothing more I can say to make you watch this show.”

Along the way they will meet England international cricketers Kevin Pietersen Johnny Bairstow, Jack Leach and Matt Parkinson and one of the greatest ballet dancers of all time, Carlos Acosta. Competition remains strong between the two as they find themselves in some sticky situations. Whether they’re heading to a ‘spa’ for an uncomfortable colon treatment, experiencing a close encounter with a rhino, dancing in front of 10,000 people or batting balls at 70mph, we will find out if their relationship will survive the series.

CPL produces an impressive roster of hit shows including Sky One’s double BAFTA-winning series A League Of Their Own, plus new US version Game On!, produced by Eye Productions Inc. and Fulwell 73 Productions with CPL Productions for CBS; and multi-award winning formats for Channel 4 including Old People’s Home for 4 Year Olds and Married at First Sight. The company also has joint venture partnerships with Harry Hill and Romesh Ranganathan.
