Sky One in the UK has commissioned a new celebrity panel show hosted by Alan Carr from CPL Productions.
There’s Something About Movies will be produced by CPL Productions, makers of Sky’s BAFTA winning show A League of Their Own, and Motion Content Group, and will premiere on Thursday May 2, 2019.
The 6 x 60′ show is anchored by comedian Alan Carr, as he invites some of the UK’s favourite actors and comics to test their film trivia and blockbuster knowledge on-screen. Filmed in front of a live studio audience, There’s Something About Movies is Alan’s first hosting job for Sky.
CPL’s A League of Their Own for Sky was recently nominated for a 2019 BAFTA Award in the Comedy Entertainment programme category, alongside their show Old People’s Home for 4 Year Olds in the Reality & Constructed Factual category. The awards will be announced on May 12.
Other CPL Productions for Sky include The Reluctant Landlord starring Romesh Ranganathan, which has been recommissioned for a second season.
