Munich, February 2, 2011. Lifetime Movie has commissioned US-based producer Frank Konigsberg to film “William & Kate”, one of the great love stories of our time. Co-producer SevenOne International holds worldwide distribution rights (except in North America). “William & Kate” is a modern-day fairy tale depicting the real-life romance of Prince William and Kate Middleton.
The high-definition production boasts an impressive array of producers and actors, and will include original locations in the United Kingdom. Nico Evers-Swindell (“Edge of Darkness”) stars as Prince William, Hollywood veteran Ben Cross (“Star Trek”, “Chariots of Fire”) will play Prince Charles and young British actress Camilla Luddington has landed the role of Kate Middleton.
“William & Kate” is being produced by 9-time Emmy nominee Frank Konigsberg, one of the best-known television producers in the US. He is currently producing the two-part “Ben Hur” miniseries for ABC, and also served as executive producer for “9½ weeks” and other box-office hits. The TV movie will be directed by Mark Rosman (“Ghost Whisperer”). The director of photography will be Tony Richmond (“Legally Blonde”).

It follows the couple through all the ups and downs of their relationship, including behind-the-scenes footage of royal life. Despite considerable family pressure and unrelenting media attention on the young couple – which nearly drove them apart – in the end, true love conquers all and the couple marries in a fairy-tale wedding.
