Munich, August 29, 2011. Building on its success, the second season of the hit dating show “Love Bites” (local title: “Messer, Gabel, Herz”) will air on Austrian TV station PULS 4. The half-hour program will run daily at 7:45 pm. “Love Bites” will be produced by Vienna production company Concorde Production.
Said PULS 4 Programming Director Oliver Svec: ‘Our first run of ‘Love Bites’ drew an audience share which was 1.5 higher than our ratings in that time slot. The online version is also very popular among our viewers. We couldn’t be more pleased. And this fall we’ll again be doing our share to help shrink the percentage of singles in Austria’s population.’
Said Bodo Braun, Sales Director for German-speaking territories and Turkey: “‘Love Bites’ was a major success in Austria right from the start. With 100 more episodes, PULS 4 will be able to establish the program as a strong brand in the Austrian TV market. I’m absolutely sure Austrian viewers will have a good time with the next season of ‘Love Bites.’”
In ”Love Bites” (produced by blue eyes, original title: “Liebe isst…”), every week, four male candidates have to prove their culinary skills to win over one lucky lady. Each day, one of them tries to convince her with a 3-course-menu and his charm – at the end of the week, the female candidate must decide which one of the single men has cooked his way into her heart. In Greece, the adaptation of “Love Bites” was also a major success on Antena 3.
