Rob & and Romesh Meet… is a new 6 part Sky original production which will see the talented comedy duo team up on a brand new mission – to meet their wish list of all-time greats from the worlds of sport and entertainment.
The new commission follows their hilariously entertaining show with Anthony Joshua last year for Sky One, which proved a hit with viewers. As with the Anthony Joshua show which immersed them in his world, the pair will venture into other worlds unfamiliar to them and totally immerse themselves, creating unmissable comedy along the way.
Details will be announced at a later date but fans will be able to watch them delve into the lives of leading stars from Athletics, Boxing, NFL and fashion, exclusively on Sky One and streaming TV service NOW TV.
The new series is produced by CPL Productions, a Red Arrow Studios company, for Sky One. It follows CPL’s smash hit production of leading entertainment show A League of Their Own, which is now running into its 13th series which will also feature Romesh Ranganthan as a panellist.
Romesh Ranganathan said: “Rob is a good mate and a great comic so I’m really looking forward to making this show with him. I’m hoping we can effectively mask the fact that we’d both rather be hosting the show alone.”
Rob Beckett said: “I can’t wait to get started filming with Romesh. We started out in comedy together 9 years ago and he’s still as miserable now as he was when he was a school teacher. Hopefully by the end of the series he will smile at least once and we will have made some great TV.”
