The new German version of format Top Chef, produced by Redseven Entertainment, is to premiere this May on SAT.1.
Top Chef Germany sees 12 chefs, with a combined total of four Michelin stars, compete to be crowned Top Chef Germany and win the €50,000 cash prize.
The judges, led by renowned Austrian chef Eckart Witzigmann, include two-star chef Peter Maria Schnurr and food critic Alexandra Kilian. The show is hosted by Daniel Boschmann.
Redseven Entertainment, which is part of ProSiebenSat.1 company Red Arrow Studios, is one of Germany’s leading producers, and is developing and producing an increasing number of shows for ProSiebenSat.1 channels, including long-running show Germany’s Next Top Model and new format Superhero Germany, both for ProSieben; and also all channels in Germany, including the German version of Old People’s Home for 4 Year Olds for RTL’s VOX, which was recently recommissioned for a second season.
Top Chef premieres on Wednesday, May 8, at 8.15 pm on SAT.1.
