VOX Germany has announced the premiere date for its new local version of multi award-winning format Old People’s Home for 4 Year Olds, produced by RedSeven Entertainment. The new three-episode series, titled Wir sind klein und ihr seid alt (We Are Small and You Are Old), premieres on VOX in Germany on Monday, February 18 at 20:15.
The show sees ten senior residents of the Bergisch Gladbach care home near Cologne brought together with ten four-year-olds for six weeks.
The original production of Old People’s Home for 4 Year Olds is created and produced by CPL Productions for Channel 4 in the UK, and has recently completed its second successful season, and the show has proved a major critical, ratings and awards success.
Red Arrow Studios International has sold the format of the show to a range of territories including France, Spain, the Netherlands, Sweden and Australia.
The Old People’s Home for 4 Year Olds format has won a number of international awards including Best Original Programme at the Broadcast Awards, Best Popular Factual Series at the Edinburgh TV Awards, and Best Factual Entertainment and Best Brand Driven Format at the International Format Awards. It was also nominated for a 2018 BAFTA award.
