Red Arrow International to sell series internationally

Fabrik Entertainment, Red Arrow Entertainment Group’s LA-based scripted house, has secured a pilot order for “Bosch” from Amazon, the world’s largest online retailer. Based on Michael Connelly’s Harry Bosch book franchise, the Fabrik-produced pilot will be directed by Jim McKay (“The Wire”, “Boss”, “Rectify”) and showrun by Peabody Award winner Eric Overmyer (“Treme”, “The Wire”, “Homicide: Life on the Street”). Hollywood veteran Titus Welliver (“Argo”, “The Good Wife”, “Lost”) will star as Harry Bosch in his first series lead role.

The supporting cast will include Jamie Hector (“May Payne”) as Bosch’s partner Jerry Edgar, Amy Price Francis (“King”) will play lawyer and Bosch’s nemesis Sunny “Money” Chandler, Annie Wersching (“24”) will seduce Bosch as police officer Julia Brasher and Valerie Cruz (“Dexter”) will star as medical examiner Teresa Corazon.

With millions of fans around the world, LAPD homicide detective Harry Bosch will stop at nothing to bring justice to the victims. But behind his tireless momentum is a man who is haunted by his past and struggles to remain loyal to his personal code: “Everybody counts or nobody counts”.

Overmyer, Connelly and Fabrik Entertainment’s, Henrik Bastin and Mikkel Bondesen will executive produce. Pieter Jan Brugge will act as co-executive producer, and Fabrik’s Tara Duncan as producer. Red Arrow International will manage international distribution.

Michael Connelly: ‘I am very pleased to have Harry Bosch in partnership with Fabrik Entertainment and Red Arrow International. He could not be in better hands. From the moment I met Henrik Bastin, CEO of Fabrik, he impressed upon me the need to remain loyal to the iconic character of Harry Bosch as written in 18 novels and to build the television show around that one essential truth. Fabrik and Red Arrow have never wavered from that and I am very confident that what we produce together will be great television.’

Henrik Bastin, CEO, Fabrik Entertainment: “To have been entrusted by Michael Connelly to bring Harry Bosch to life is BIG. For me and the entire team at Fabrik Entertainment it’s a game changer – and we could not be prouder or more excited. With a creative team that includes Michael, Eric Overmyer, Jim McKay, and, of course, the brilliant Titus Welliver as Harry, I feel confident we will deliver a show that both pleases the millions of existing Bosch fans and introduces this iconic character to millions more.”

Jan Frouman, Group MD, Red Arrow Entertainment Group: ‘When we partnered with Fabrik, one of our key strategic goals was to find ambitious and globally exciting US scripted projects that we could develop, produce and distribute around the world. Bosch not only ticks all of those boxes – but has also fueled genuine creative passion throughout our Group and a newly minted relationship with Amazon. This is a major leap forward for Fabrik, Red Arrow International and Red Arrow as a whole.’

Connelly was represented in the deal by his agents Joel Gotler and David Guillod at Intellectual Property Group and his attorney, Diane Golden of Katz Golden Rosenman. Fabrik Entertainment was represented by Ari Greenberg of William Morris Endeavor Entertainment and Jared Levine of Morris Yorn Barnes Levine Krintzman Rubenstein & Kohner. Eric Overmyer was represented by CAA in the negotiation.
