RASI – LA Screenings release – Final
LONDON. April 29, 2019: Red Arrow Studios International is heading to this year’s LA Screenings with a slate of high-profile TV shows and features.

Red Arrow Studios International’s scripted slate includes major BBC (UK) drama ‘Death and Nightingales’ (3 x 60’ or 2 x 90’). A riveting story of love and revenge, this haunting new series is set in Ireland in 1885 and is produced by The Imaginarium and Soho Moon Pictures. ‘Death and Nightingales’ is adapted and directed by Allan Cubitt (‘The Fall’) and stars Emmy® award-winner Matthew Rhys (‘The Post’, ‘The Americans’) Jamie Dornan (‘The Fall’, The Fifty Shades trilogy’) and rising new talent, Ann Skelly (‘Kissing Candice’, ‘Red Rock’).

Further scripted highlights include ‘Falco’ (15 x 60’), a Mexican adaptation of the award-winning scripted crime drama format ‘The Last Cop’. From production powerhouse Dynamo (‘Narcos’) and Spiral International, ‘Falco’ features Michel Brown, star of the International Emmy award-winning series ‘Sr. Ávila’, in the title role, and is showrun and directed by acclaimed Mexican filmmaker Ernesto Contreras (‘Blue Eyelids’, ‘I Dream in Another Language’). The powerful and poignant crime series sees a cop wakes from a coma to a changed world.

Also heading to LA Screenings is crime drama ‘Bosch’, the outstanding, Emmy-nominated series produced by Fabrik Entertainment for Amazon that is returning for its fifth season. Based on Michael Connelly’s best-selling novels, ‘Bosch’ is Amazon’s longest-running original series and was developed for television by Eric Overmyer (‘Treme’, ‘The Wire’, ‘Homicide: Life on the Streets’). ‘Bosch’ stars Titus Welliver (‘Argo’) as homicide detective Harry Bosch, Jamie Hector (‘The Wire’) as Jerry Edgar, Amy Aquino (‘Being Human’) as Lt. Grace Billets, Madison Lintz (‘The Walking Dead’) as Maddie Bosch and Lance Reddick (‘The Wire’) as Deputy Chief Irvin Irving.

From its non-scripted roster, Red Arrow is bringing landmark New York Times series ‘The Weekly’ (30 x 27’), on the eve of its US debut in June. Commissioned by FX in association with Hulu and produced by The New York Times and Left/Right, ‘The Weekly’ brings the newspaper’s unparalleled journalism and insight to the TV screen, going beyond US and international news to find the big, signature stories that nobody else is telling.

Alongside these, Red Arrow Studios International will bring scripted film comedy ‘The Longest Week’ (1 x 91), starring Jason Bateman, Billy Crudup and Olivia Wilde. Produced by Armian Pictures, Atlantic Pictures, Far Hills Pictures, YRF Entertainment and Yash Raj Films, ‘The Longest Week’ follows the affluent and aimless Conrad Valmont, who lives a life of leisure in his parent’s prestigious Manhattan Hotel. In the span of one week, he finds himself evicted, disinherited, and… in love.

Also heading to LA Screenings is ‘Let Me Go’ (1 x 101’) inspired by Helga Schneider’s best-selling memoir and produced by In Trust Films. From award-winning filmmaker Polly Steele (‘Women Talking Dirty’), and featuring a stellar cast led by Juliet Stevenson CBE (‘Truly, Madly Deeply’), Jodhi May (‘The Last of the Mohicans’), Lucy Boynton (‘Murder on the Orient Express’, ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’) and Karin Bertling (‘Faceless Killers’, ‘The Bridge’), ‘Let Me Go’ is a powerful drama about mothers and daughters, and how the sins of the past can return to hurt the ones we love the most.
