Red Arrow Studios International hit scripted series, Stella Blómkvist and Sense of Tumour, have been shortlisted for the C21 International Drama Awards 2018.

Heida Reed is nominated for Best Female Performance in a Drama Series for her lead role in sexy, stylish Icelandic crime drama Stella Blómkvist.

The series, produced by Sagafilm, was a hit on Síminn TV in Iceland, more than doubling the channel’s average rating. Directed by Óskar Thór Axelsson (Trapped, Black’s Game), Stella Blómkvist has been nominated for 8 Eddan Icelandic Film and TV Academy Awards.

The bold, feel-good comedy drama series Sense of Tumour is nominated in the Best non-English Language Drama Series category. The eight-part series, produced by Sylvester and VRT for EEN/VRT (Belgium) explores how the near death experience of an ambitious young medical student teaches him how to live.

Sense of Tumour premiered on EEN (Belgium) earlier this year to impressive ratings, with the first episode increasing EEN’s market share by 32% for all viewers, and a 71% increase for 18-54s.

The awards will be announced at the International Drama Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, November 28 as part of Content London 2018.

Red Arrow Studios International distributes the finished tape and scripted format of both Stella Blómkvist and Sense of Tumour internationally.
