It’s all about the taste! French network M6 orders MIPCOM’s hottest new property “The Taste” for local production. In the brand new cooking competition show four top-notch chefs rely only on their taste buds to find the next superstar chef. “The Taste” was created by Kinetic Content, Red Arrow’s US production company led by Chris Coelen.

Aline Avedikian, Regional Sales Manager France of Red Arrow International, says, “’The Taste’ introduces a new generation of cooking shows: the combination of a thrilling competition with the most important thing in cooking – the taste. I am absolutely excited about the cooperation with M6 and the pick-up of ‘The Taste’.”

In the U.S., ABC has ordered eight episodes of “The Taste” in which famed foodies Nigella Lawson and Anthony Bourdain head a distinguished panel of four judges to pit America’s most skilled cooks against one another.

Our culinary superstars are going back to basics: The Taste! Both home cooks and restaurateurs are given the opportunity of a lifetime, as they sharpen their skills and train with the best culinary experts in the business. The superstar mentors will each coach a team of cooks, who they hand pick based on their dishes alone. In each episode there are two challenges; a team challenge and an individual challenge. At the end of each show the mentors must decide together whom to eliminate.
