• Led by acclaimed director Kari Skogland
• Chaired by industry veteran Peter Sussman

Red Arrow Entertainment Group has invested in new production company Mad Rabbit. Mad Rabbit is a joint venture between Canadian director and showrunner Kari Skogland, and global production and distribution group Red Arrow Entertainment.

Based in Toronto and Los Angeles, Mad Rabbit will produce high-end drama for the international market. The company will be led by acclaimed, award-winning director Kari Skogland. Kari has directed some of TV’s most successful drama series including “House of Cards”, “The Walking Dead”, “The Americans”, “Vikings”, “Boardwalk Empire” and “The Borgias”.

The company board of directors will be chaired by industry veteran Peter Sussman, who is former Entertainment Group CEO and co-controlling voting shareholder at Alliance Atlantis Communications, and more recently Co-Founder and Executive Chairman of film and television financier Aver Media, for whom he now consults.

Development at Mad Rabbit will be led by LA-based Elsie Choi, a former development exec for Bruce Willis, whose credits include “Fifty Dead Men Walking”.

Jan Frouman, Chairman & CEO of Red Arrow Entertainment Group, said: “Kari and Elsie, together with Peter, are exactly what we look for in partners: smart, absurdly talented and thoroughly likable in every way. We think that Mad Rabbit is a great opportunity for both our global scripted business and our group as a whole.”

Kari Skogland, CEO of Mad Rabbit, added: “I am thrilled to be embarking on this new venture with such a terrific and well respected group. As a woman I am proud to be part of an emerging voice of diversity in the rapidly changing and increasingly exciting world of content production. The launch of Mad Rabbit couldn’t be better timed.”

Red Arrow Entertainment holds a minority stake in Mad Rabbit and Red Arrow International will distribute Mad Rabbit’s projects internationally.
