Pit Bulls & Parolees will return for an all-new season on Animal Planet in the fall, produced by 44 Blue Productions, a Red Arrow Studios company, and Rive Gauche Television. The award-winning series features Tia Torres, a true believer in second chances, who has dedicated her life to the Villalobos Rescue Center in New Orleans, the largest pit bull rescue center in the U.S.

Tia offers a fresh start to parolees who work for her as staffers and volunteers and has been doing so since 2006. Tia, her family and the parolees work together to give a new lease on life and a second chance to pit bulls, a breed of dog that has been demonized, abused and discarded often because of the reputation of their breed.

Rasha Drachkovitch, CEO and Co-founder of 44 Blue Productions, said: “We are thrilled to see Pit Bulls & Parolees return to Animal Planet for its tenth season. For a decade now, we’ve been following Tia and her family as they’ve rescued over 1,000 dogs and placed hundreds of pit bulls in loving ‘forever homes’.  This new season will introduce viewers to new parolees looking for a second chance, as well as some dramatic storylines featuring Tia and her family.”

Last season, Pit Bulls & Parolees was up +9% among Adults 25-54 vs. the previous season and averaged more than one million viewers. The series regularly drove Animal Planet into ad-supported cable’s Top Five and Top 10 in its timeslot among numerous key demos, including Adults 25-54, Women 25-54 and Total Viewers P2+.
