Season 6 of Married at First Sight UK, produced by CPL Productions, rounded out the series on Monday night (October 4) by continuing the season’s run of strong ratings.

Following on from the success of the premiere (Monday, August 30) – the most-watched show on multi-channel TV in the UK and E4’s strongest launch ever – the series grew its audience across the series, with the reunion finale (airing Monday, October 4) drawing 2.2 million viewers/8% after 28-day catch-up (rising to 2.5 million, including 201,000 on devices). The most-watched episode of the series, episode 13 (Monday, September 20) attracted an audience of 2.4 million/10%, rising to 2.7 million, including 311,000 on devices.

Over its run, Married At First Sight UK averaged 2.1 million/9% – more than five times E4’s 280,000 (1.7%) slot average – rising to 2.4 million, including 323,000 on devices. The show’s strong performance contributed to hefty increases in E4’s overall audience. The channel averaged 372,000/2% individuals in 6-11pm peak-time during the reality show’s run – an increase of 10% from the same period in 2020 (339,000/2%). E4’s 16-24 peak average (24,000/5%) was also 18% better than the equivalent period last year (21,000/4%).

Married at First Sight UK also performed well across Channel 4’s VOD platform All 4, with the catch up service pulling in an average audience of 1,129,000 across the 7 days following broadcast.

Married at First Sight is distributed worldwide by Red Arrow Studios International.
