Building on the success of the first season, ITV1 has ordered a second series of hidden camera hit format “Off Their Rockers”. Produced by Red Arrow’s CPL Productions, “Off Their Rockers” is set to return to ITV in 2014 with 7 x 30’ episodes. Series one of “Off Their Rockers” debuted on ITV with 5.24m (22.74%) and grew to a series high of 5.7m (24%).

Claire Zolkwer, Commissioning Editor, Comedy Entertainment for ITV said: “The Rockers proved to us all that older people can have just as much, if not more fun than the rest of us, and it was wonderful to see them have such a positive impact on our viewers. I can’t wait to see what mischief they will have in store in series two. Long live the Rockers!”

Executive Producer for CPL, Murray Boland said: ‘We’re delighted with ‘Off Their Rockers’ – badly behaved old people really seem to have struck a chord with the audience. They’re an inspiration to us all.’

Henrik Pabst, Senior Vice President Sales UK, said: “’Off Their Rockers’ is comedy at its best! A worldwide phenomenon, the show works across different cultures and drives market shares up. I am excited that ITV and CPL are joining forces again.”

Murray Boland, Danielle Lux and Mobashir Dar will Executive Produce for CPL Productions alongside Series Producer, Andy Brown and Series Editor, Chris Curley. Claire Zolkwer is the Commissioning Editor for ITV.

“Off Their Rockers” is based on the International Emmy and Rose d’Or winning “Benidorm Bastards”. Created by SHELTER, “Benidorm Bastards” has already been sold to more than 20 countries, including “Old Ass Bastards” (ProSieben/Germany), “Rollator Banden” (SBS/Denmark), “Bingobanden” (TV Norge/Norway), and “JeulGeoUn In Seng” (tvN/South Korea). Earlier this year, season 2 of the U.S. version “Betty White’s Off Their Rockers” scored stellar ratings on NBC – the season premiere scoring the biggest overall audience for an 8 pm slot on NBC since last April.
