New US entertainment series Game On!, produced by CPL Productions, Eye Productions and Fulwell 73 Productions, enjoyed a successful premiere on Wednesday May 27, winning the night for CBS in the US.
The series, which debuted on CBS at 8pm ET/PT, won the night in total viewers with 4.53 million, against competition including Fox’s Ultimate Tag, NBC’s Chicago Med and Chicago Fire and ABC’s Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. The show also tied for the top spot in the Adults 18-49 rating (0.6).
Hosted by Emmy and Peabody Award-winning actor, writer and producer Keegan-Michael Key, Game On! celebrates the entertainment of sports, and is based on CPL’s BAFTA-winning Sky UK format A League of Their Own.
The show pits two teams of three, captained by tennis champion and entrepreneur Venus Williams and Super Bowl champion Rob Gronkowski, alongside comedians Bobby Lee and Ian Karmel and rotating sports stars, comedians and celebrities, against each other in over-the-top physical challenges, absurd trivia and epic field competitions.
Game On!, is produced by Eye Productions Inc. and Fulwell 73 Productions with CPL Productions. Executive producers for Fulwell 73 Productions are Ben Winston, James Corden and Emma Conway with David Taylor, Murray Boland and Danielle Lux serving as executive producers for CPL Productions. Rob Gronkowski, Elle Key, Keegan-Michael Key, Henry Penzi and Venus Williams also serve as executive producers.
