Acclaimed sports entertainment show A League of Their Own, produced by CPL Productions for Sky One (UK), has won the 2020 TRIC Award for Best Sports Programme.

The awards were announced at a ceremony at the Grosvenor Hotel in London today, March 10.

The BAFTA-winning series is hosted by James Corden and welcomed British comedian Romesh Raganathan as a series regular for its thirteenth season, which recently aired on Sky.

The second series of the show’s successful spin off A League of Their Own: European Road Trip, starring Jamie Redknapp and Freddie Flintoff, aired earlier this year on Sky One.

The Television and Radio Industries Club  (TRIC) promotes mutual understanding,​ goodwill and networking among those in the audio, visual, communication and allied industries, by holding high-profile events, and raising money for good causes nominated by TRIC. The President of TRIC is ITV presenter Lorraine Kelly.

The format of A League of Their Own has recently been picked up by CBS in the US, for a new show called Game On!, produced by CPL Productions. Red Arrow Studios International distribute the A League of Their Own format worldwide.
