44 Blue Productions, the award-winning producer of non-fiction and unscripted content, has acquired the US television rights to the 2016 U.S. Game of the Year, “Pie Face.”
Through a partnership with UK based CPL Productions (“League of Their Own”) and “Pie Face” game creator Graham Thornton of Rocket Games, 44 Blue Productions will develop an hour-long game show format for US television distribution.
“With over 7 million sold worldwide, ‘Pie Face’ took the internet by storm and quickly became a household name,” said Stephanie Drachkovitch, president and co-founder of 44 Blue Productions. “This project will take the ultimate party game and turn it into funny, fast-paced television game show experience for all generations.”
44 Blue’s slate of groundbreaking series includes A&E’s Emmy® nominated series “Wahlburgers,” A&E’s “Nightwatch,” E!’s “Hollywood Medium with Tyler,” and “Pit Bulls and Parolees” on Animal Planet. Their series have aired on more than 30 domestic television networks and more than 120 countries worldwide.
“Pie Face,” created by Rocket Games, has sold over 7.2 million units worldwide – 1 every 5 seconds, and was #1 on Amazon’s cyber Monday sale. 44 Blue is represented by William Morris Endeavor.
